W\u00e4hrend wir auf die ber\u00fchmte Strudel-Galaxie M51 im Sternbild Canes Venatici senkrecht blicken, (face-on) sieht man die andere Spiralgalaxie NGC4565 im Sternbild Coma Berenices von der Seite, (edge-on).<\/p>\n

Messier 51 besteht aus einem Paar sich begegnender Galaxien und ist „nur“ 27 Mio Lichtjahre von uns entfernt. Beg\u00fcnstigt durch die N\u00e4he und die r\u00e4umliche Orientierung steht die Sichtbarkeit der Spiralarme bei visueller Beobachtung an erster Stelle. M51 hat eine scheinbare Helligkeit von 8,4mag.<\/p>\n

Spektakul\u00e4r ist der Anblick der Edge-On Galaxie NGC4565 im Sternbild Haar der Berenike. NGC4565 (Spindel-Galaxie) ist eine Spiralgalaxie in Kantenstellung, ist circa 55 Mio Lichtjahre entfernt und ihre scheinbare Helligkeit betr\u00e4gt 9,5mag. Auch bekannt als Nadel-Galaxie soll sie die Haarspange im prachtvollen Haarschopf der Berenike darstellen.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 WIE TREFFEND!<\/p>\n
