Vier dieser Galaxien &#8211; NGC 7317, 7318A, 7318B und 7319 beeinflussen sich gravitativ tats\u00e4chlich, da sie r\u00e4umlich nahe beisammen liegen. Die bl\u00e4uliche Galaxie, die unten in der Bildmitte erkennbar ist, NGC 7320, ist &#8222;nur&#8220; 45 Millionen Lichtjahre entfernt und erg\u00e4nzt optisch die Gruppe zu einem Quintett, hat aber auf die Interaktionen, die zwischen den vier anderen Galaxien stattfinden, nichts zu tun. <br>Diese gravitativen Prozesse sind sehr sch\u00f6n in den beiden Galaxien rechts oben &#8211; NGC 7318A und 7318B zu erkennen, wo die beiden Galaxienzentren dabei sind miteinander zu verschmelzen.
